In short
Improve your productivity by quickly finding information across your Google Workspace apps. This course shows you how to use Gemini to query Gmail and Drive with the @-mention feature, while understanding how to manage connected app permissions and check sources to ensure the reliability of the retrieved answers.
Why this training?
In a work environment where information is scattered across emails, documents, and shared files, quickly finding a specific item is a daily challenge. Gemini, when connected to Google Workspace, offers a unified search solution. This course covers using Gemini to query Gmail and Drive. It focuses not only on search efficiency but also on the crucial aspects of security and control: how permissions work, how to verify the reliability of AI-generated results, and how to ensure data access remains controlled, especially in a corporate context where administrator settings may apply. Participants will work on concrete scenarios for retrieving professional information. For example, they will use Gemini to find a project summary stored in Drive from a vague description, and then locate a key decision email in Gmail. Each exercise will require checking the source provided by Gemini to confirm the accuracy of the extracted information, thus reinforcing good validation practices. Deliverables: A cheat sheet for prompts using @-mentions; A checklist for source verification; A guide to managing app permissions. This course focuses solely on Gemini's integration with Gmail and Drive. It does not cover other Google Workspace applications, the Gemini API, or custom solutions. Features are dependent on the subscription plan and restrictions set by the account administrator. The workshop is delivered in person as a private session for up to 12 participants, in one language chosen from French, Dutch and English. All exercise data is fictional or anonymised, and every result produced with AI is reviewed and validated by a responsible person. The aim is a bounded result the team can reuse, not a promise of deployment.
