In short
Accelerate your workflows by generating structured data directly from Claude. This course shows you how to write precise prompts to obtain tables, lists, or JSON-like records, and how to define rules to check their consistency and completeness before integrating them into your tools.
Why this training?
Integrating AI into business processes often hits a snag: getting clean, directly usable data. Manually asking an AI to format information is time-consuming and error-prone. This course tackles this challenge by focusing on techniques to compel Claude to produce structured formats, like tables or JSON records. We explore how to define rules upfront and use features like Artifacts to validate and refine these outputs. This reduces manual post-processing and ensures greater data reliability before it's put to use. Participants will work on concrete data transformation cases. They will be tasked with generating comparative tables, task lists, and structured records in JSON format from raw texts like product descriptions. The focus will be on progressive iteration using Artifacts to achieve a result that complies with precise specifications, including verifying the completeness of the extracted information. Deliverables: A prompt library for structured data generation; A validation checklist for AI outputs; A practical guide to using Artifacts. This training focuses on the Claude user interface and does not cover API integration. The techniques aim to improve reliability but do not guarantee a complete absence of errors. The availability of certain features, like Artifacts, may depend on the subscription plan and administrator settings. The workshop is delivered in person as a private session for up to 12 participants, in one language chosen from French, Dutch and English. All exercise data is fictional or anonymised, and every result produced with AI is reviewed and validated by a responsible person. The aim is a bounded result the team can reuse, not a promise of deployment.
Objectives of this training
- Formulate prompts to generate various structured formats (tables, lists, JSON).
- Define a clear schema and acceptance rules within the initial request.
- Use the Artifacts feature to create and iterate on documents.
- Check the completeness and consistency of generated data against a source document.
- Iterate on an Artifact to correct and refine the result without restarting the process.
Who is it for and what are the prerequisites?
Roles and tasks concerned
- Data Analysts
- Project Managers
- Process Automation Specialists
Prior skills
- Participants must have completed our 'AI Fundamentals' and 'AI Prompting' courses or have equivalent experience. A paid subscription to Claude offering the features needed for the exercises, such as Artifacts, is required. Authorization from your organization to use these third-party tools is mandatory, as are the actual accounts and access rights. The exercises will use fictional or anonymized data.
