Multichannel consistency
How can you adapt the same message for three channels without distorting the information or making the formats uniform?

In short
In a half-day session of 3 hours use generative AI to turn an approved message into an email, a social media post and a website panel. You identify the information that must remain unchanged, adapt the hook and call to action, then check fidelity, readability and compliance with each medium’s requirements.
Why this training?
Copying the same text everywhere ignores reading conditions: an email can explain, a social media post must make the information immediately understandable, and a website panel must provide quick guidance. Consistency relies on shared facts, not identical wording. AI can suggest several versions, but it can also invent a benefit, omit a restriction or change an eligibility condition. Separating the elements that must remain unchanged from editorial choices allows you to delegate rewording while retaining control of the message. Case study used throughout: The fictitious association « Traverse Lecture » is launching a book reservation service with collection on site. It needs to announce the service to members by email, reach local residents on a social network and inform visitors to its website. A supplied brief specifies eligibility conditions, opening hours and the reservation steps. Application at work: For your next announcement, reuse the matrix for three media you actually use. Have the versions reviewed using the same checklist and compare the corrections needed before approval, without automatically attributing distribution results to AI.
Objectives of this training
- Extract the facts, conditions and mandatory wording from a source message
- Define the editorial requirements for three channels
- Write an AI prompt that distinguishes between fixed elements and permitted adaptations
- Produce three versions with an appropriate call to action
- Evaluate the versions and correct deviations from the brief
Who is it for and what are the prerequisites?
Roles and tasks concerned
- Communications officers producing announcements for multiple media
- Marketing assistants and association managers writing short-form content
Prior skills
- Have previously asked a generative AI tool to draft or reword a text
- Know your organisation’s audiences and communication media
What you will work on
Identify the core of the message
Objective: Distinguish between information that must remain unchanged and wording choices. Core promise, audience, eligibility conditions, mandatory information and risks of ambiguity.
Set the requirements for each medium
Objective: Translate reading habits into practical instructions. Email subject line and body; social media hook; website title and text; length, tone, context and call-to-action destination.
Generate and then revise the variants
Objective: Obtain three distinct texts that remain faithful to the brief. Structured prompt: source, recipient, medium, fixed elements, requirements and expected format. Targeted revision rather than repeated generation without diagnosis.
Check consistency and finalise
Objective: Measure writing quality before any distribution. Compliant/non-compliant checklist: fidelity, essential conditions, format, readability and expected action. Distinction between content quality and distribution performance.
What you take away
- Matrix of fixed elements and adaptations by channel
- Reusable AI prompt with editorial requirements
- Pack containing a corrected email, social media post and website panel
- Completed checklist with a correction log
Method and assessment
- Brief input sessions followed by immediate practice using the ongoing case study.
- Individual work followed by work in pairs, with participants reviewing one another’s texts.
- Guided group discussion: what works, what needs correcting and what remains a human decision.
- Preparation: Arrange access to a generative AI assistant authorised by the organisation. Optionally bring an anonymised announcement and its editorial requirements; a complete fictitious case study is provided.
Observable criteria: No added fact goes beyond the information in the brief; Each version retains the conditions essential to understanding the service; The three texts comply with the lengths and structures set in the matrix; Each call to action indicates a step that can be taken from the medium; Every deviation identified in the checklist receives a verifiable correction.
Frequently asked questions
Is the content published during the training?
No. The texts are prepared and checked; their distribution remains subject to your organisation’s approvals.
Can we work on an internal announcement?
Yes, after anonymisation and only in an authorised tool. No confidential information may be shared.
Are the suggested lengths technical limits?
No. These are teaching constraints; the limits of the actual media will need to be checked.
How is quality assessed without publishing?
By checking compliance with the brief, adherence to the format and clarity of the action, before and after correction.
