In short

Your website says one thing, your sales team tells another story, and AI produces bland copy nobody stands behind. In 3 hours, your team leaves with a 300-word company story built on your real evidence, its website introduction and a LinkedIn post, plus the instructions to stop producing generic content.

Why this training?

A brand story loses its strength when it piles up abstract values or invents an appealing origin story. Starting from verifiable facts makes it possible to connect a conviction to concrete decisions, without turning communication into an unverifiable legend. AI makes it easier to explore angles and rewrite content, but it can produce interchangeable wording or add non-existent evidence. The task is therefore to guide its suggestions, select a relevant narrative tension and retain responsibility for published claims. Case study used throughout: ‘Sillage Textile’, a fictitious organisation that repairs everyday clothing, is preparing its ‘Our story’ page. It wants to explain its deliberate choice: extending use rather than encouraging replacement. The training pack provides a timeline, services and documented commitments, without customer testimonials. Application at work: Within the following two weeks, apply the template to a brand within your organisation, using approved information. Have a brand representative review the story, record the corrections and apply the assessment grid again before any publication.

Objectives of this training

  • Distinguish between a brand’s facts, convictions and promises.
  • Build an outline connecting the audience, tension, brand role and evidence.
  • Use AI to write a core story aligned with the positioning.
  • Adapt the story for two channels without changing its claims.
  • Assess narrative quality and correct unsupported elements.

Who is it for and what are the prerequisites?

Roles and tasks concerned

  • Communications and content officers responsible for brand introduction texts.
  • Marketing managers seeking to align the story across the website, sales presentation and social media.

Prior skills

  • Have previous experience of formulating and refining a request in a generative AI assistant.
  • Be familiar with the concepts of target audience, positioning and editorial tone.

What you will work on

  1. Gather your real evidence

Objective: Establish a reliable foundation before generation. Priority audience, conviction, promise, available facts and missing information; the distinction between storytelling and fiction.

  2. Find the angle that sets you apart

Objective: Give the story a coherent progression. Initial situation, difficulty experienced, conviction, action and outlook; the audience’s place as the protagonist and the brand’s as a source of support.

  3. Write your story and its two versions

Objective: Produce texts suitable for use across three channels. An instruction incorporating sources, tone, recipient, length and a prohibition on invention; rewriting clichés and adapting to the reading context.

  4. Check every claim before publishing

Objective: Measure quality and finalise a corrected version. Assessment grid: factual fidelity, clarity, distinctiveness, coherence and adaptation; limitations of AI self-assessment.

What you take away

  • Your official company story (250 to 350 words), checked against your facts.
  • Your web page introduction (80 words), ready to go live.
  • A LinkedIn post (120 words), ready to schedule.
  • The list of verified facts your team can state, and what must never be invented.
  • Reusable instructions to produce new, aligned copy with AI.

Method and assessment

  • Short teaching inputs followed by immediate practice using the ongoing case study.
  • Individual work followed by work in pairs, with participants reviewing each other’s outputs.
  • Facilitated group discussion: what works, what needs correcting and what remains a human decision.
  • Preparation: Arrange access to a generative AI tool approved by the organisation. Select an anonymised, authorised brand presentation, or use only the fictitious pack provided.

Observable criteria: Every factual claim refers back to the source pack; no testimonial or event is invented. ; The story connects an audience tension, a brand role and concrete evidence. ; At least two specific details prevent the text from being applied unchanged to a competitor. ; Both adaptations retain the promise and comply with the requested lengths. ; The grid scores each dimension from 0 to 2 and documents a correction between versions..

Frequently asked questions

Do you need to tell the founder’s story?

No. The story can start from a use case or a conviction, provided the available facts support it.

Can you use internal documents?

Only if they are anonymised and authorised, using an approved tool; otherwise, use the fictitious case study.

Can AI create testimonials?

No invented testimonial may be presented as genuine evidence.

Can the final text be published immediately?

It provides an operational basis; editorial approval and organisation-specific checks remain necessary.
